Sup Man

Can I spit to this?

GrantBowtie responds:

Sure - please send me a link so I can hear the final

I love it

All around greatness. I was just about to download it and put it on my FL Studio to try and rap over it. Of course I wouldn't upload it, but honestly great beat. It's not loud at all, and it's not hard to turn down the speakers if it is xD

Jumper responds:

Huzzah! :D Thanks a lot man! Apreciate it!

Okay

Some things that I could say about this song would be the arpeggios. If you listen to my very first songs they sound similar. Though you got to get over using presets like those arps. There needs to have some uplift with your songs as well, judging that there is no transitions between sounds. It almost seems that there are no automations what-so-ever. Try focusing on making: Bass, Melody, Lead, and some kind of atmosphere for your songs. I say this because by the sound of what you're creating here, it sounds as if your striving for techno/trance. This would be my flat out general guess.

I have been trying to make a techno trance and a bit of club, however I seem to fall short, I know what you mean by using the presets but I have a very limited amount of knowledge on how to create my own sounds, and I have very very limited amount of knowledge on using synths which I really want to use thank you for your sharing your knowledge to me

Chill as fuck

I really love how chill it came off to be. You should continue to make these kinds of tracks. Maybe get into using your voice a bit, lol. I could listen to some singing right now. Love the nice lead. Please check out my song as well.

lol i'll let the pros do the singing, but thanks for the review haha

Great !

I just think it's a little 'all over the place' but it's great for a dance song. I love the transitions you put in thurrr, I just hear the same sound throughout the whole thing.

TechnoRepublic responds:

Thanks! I'll work on that.

This is soothing as fawk.

Respect, I could fall asleep to this no lie. Keep up the good work. Somee constructive feedback: Bring in a new sound once in a while. I felt like I was listening to the same thing over and over all the way to the middle of the song where there was just a couple bells. I like how you used the violins or whatever those were in the background, it was nice, but I hated how they just stopped abruptly. I couldn't ask you to put percussion in it, because of the genre, but this could make a good trance song. Giving my two cents.

Ps. You should check out my new dubstep song: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/409610

pitbulljones responds:

hey SRG,

thanks for the review. you make some very valid points. it needs a development, believe me, the melody line i have, i.e vocals resolves that issue. I also feel it needs percussion, a nice drum pattern, about midway in, just to bind the overall mix. I will say, i made this tonight/today depending on country, i'm in manchester uk, from about 4-6 am i made this lol, full of wine and after a harsh 12 hour shift after a another 12 hour shift. It is a work in progress and i intend to do more with it. my ears are dead tho, and i'm still without a proper midi control. You know something? I actually intended for the violins to drop, mainly cos there is guitar and vocal lines to be added, i didnt want to dominate my track with strings. I'm renowned on here for doing exactly that. again thank you for the review. I will get round to reviewing your song, i'm not a dudstep fan at all though, and so i may not do justice to it, i'll try though.

peace and hugs

I like it

The piano was just loud compared to the other sounds at the beginning, I don't know if that was what you were trying to do. Just not my style. I love how you faded the melody from left and right, that was pretty cool. Though the beat was a little bland, I think that there could be variation in there somewhere, maybe. I love the grungy bass sound, I use that kind of sound for my basses in my songs as well. It just sounds like a repetition though, like it does one thing, goes quiet, then does it again. That's just me, I know I have several songs like this too, I'm just giving my two cents.

EPSSounds responds:
